Borrowed *TheKoV86's ND filter and got a couple of shots just after the sun had set at Hallet Cove. Taken with a 550D and Tokina 11-16mm.

Pretty sure my friend has a Hoya ND 0.9

We're both looking at getting a B+W ND 3.0 for extra strength though. I've also purchased a Cokin wide-angle square filter holder/adapter so I can buy a graduated ND and chuck that on for better sky exposures.

I have the B+W 3.0 Multi coated, it's great but not cheap, think for a 58mm thread it was about £40, I'm after the same for a 77mm thread and they're about £60! :cries:

I heard that welding mask screens work well, I've got a few in my garage, might have to try and see how that goes, not sure how to place it in front of the lens though, will have to make some kind of mount.

Welding mask glass will do the trick but the colour cast is insane and things like glare/flare can be problematic.

And yeah, £60 is about the cheapest I can find the B+W 3.0 ND, and that's not even the multi-coated version, which I think is closer to £90?
